The Minister of National Defense, Angel Tilvar, had a meeting on Tuesday with James O’Brien, the assistant for European and Eurasian Affairs of the U.S. Secretary of State, during which he highlighted the „crucial” role of the Black Sea region in ensuring European and transatlantic security, in the context of the continuation of the Russian Federation’s war of aggression in Ukraine, informs Agerpres.
According to the Ministry of National Defense (MApN), topics of strategic interest for both parties were discussed, with an emphasis on the consolidation of the Romanian-American Strategic Partnership, the support given to Ukraine, as well as the adaptation at the national and allied level to the security challenges generated by the current context in the Black Sea region.
